Progressive Control for Precision Driving
EBC Racing RP-1 is engineered for vehicles driven hard on track, delivering a progressive brake response that allows for exceptional finesse and control. With a moderately high friction level of 0.45 maintained across 100-750°C (200-1400°F), RP-1 provides the precise modulation that skilled drivers demand when pushing their limits on circuit.
Ideal for Over-Servoed Vehicles and Big Brake Kits
The more progressive response characteristic of RP-1 makes it perfectly suited for inherently 'over-servoed' vehicles where a softer pad material allows greater finesse when on the brakes. RP-1 also works superbly with many aftermarket Big Brake Kits, where the progressive pad response helps to negate the over-servoed sensation often experienced after fitting larger diameter discs and calipers with large piston displacements.
A Different Character, Not "Less Good"
EBC Racing emphasizes that RP-1 isn't "less good" than RP-X - it's different. RP-1 is designed to provide a distinctly less aggressive bite characteristic that many drivers prefer for their racing style and application.
